#TheLostGuardian progress report

Finished the initial cover shoot for ‪#‎TheLostGuardian‬ with Autumn Culver. I am so blessed to have such talented and supportive friends. She exceeded all of my expectations! The shoot went better than I could ever hoped for and I am looking forward to putting some teasers out soon.
Heck, I can't wait...
This simple object will carry a lot of weight in the story. It's amazing how powerful a simple photograph can be.

#JustaQuickiePlease: Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials Review

If you watched Warm Bodies and thought to yourself, "that has to be the lamest zombie movie ever," do I have a news flash for you.  YA has outdone itself again, taking a true horror concept and transforming it into a watered down adventure farce that plagiarizes the ideas of every other novel focused on the pre-teen demographic with CGI effects literally hacked from the CPUs of the I am Legend crew.   The gang is back, running away from WCKD, but this time in an apocalyptic landscape rather than a ridiculously convoluted maze test.  And while we are on topic; really guys, let's just go ahead and name the villains straight out wicked.  I mean, forget about ambiguity or creativity.  Why the hell not, the audience you're aiming for is not actually looking for a mental stretch.  Our heroes are pursued by the forces that held them captive in the first movie, along with some Mad Max rejects and a host of the goofiest looking undead you may ever see.  The effects are so bad they almost parody themselves.   With acting stale enough to rival its predecessor and a consistent dose of unrealistic action; this second go round outdoes the first for all the wrong reasons.  The good news there will be a third and final installment, so we can all hope the world truly ends before that.  0 out of 5 Kernels; another utterly un-aMazing film by Wes Ball.

#JustaQuickiePlease: Deadpool Review (Spoiler Free)

From start to finish this is one of the best Marvel films to date mixing edgy humor with gritty drama and a heaping dose of chaotic violence creating a recipe of sheer, non-stop, geektastic enjoyment.   For starters, it contains one of the best opening credit scenes in cinematic history and Marvels best ever end credits sequence; one that I can't imagine, they will ever be able to top.  Reynolds is in love with this role and that is evident in every word spoken during every scene which he absolutely owns with a feral dominance.    He is Deadpool and no one could bring him to life in a more thoroughly engrossing and entertaining manner.  Miller provides pitch-perfect timing as the comic relief of the flick, as if Reynolds needed an assist at all, with his relentless biting, in your face, laugh out loud, one-liners, sarcasm, and 4th wall breaking dialogue.  The remaining cast does an excellent job but is undeniably eclipsed by Ryan's incarnation of this comic book icon.    The effects are near flawless with one slight complaint; Colossus' presence is so CGI that it is overtly noticeable CGI.   My only other criticism is the excessive nudity, which could have been left out without hurting any aspect of the overall impact.  With those out of the way, there is nothing more to complain about.  This movie pulls you in and doesn't let go until its final second.   Absolutely not for the kiddies with language, comments, and sexuality that breaks any ceiling that existed before like a katana through plate glass.  4 out of 5 Kernels: The Merc with a Mouth delivers in a way that forever establishes this feature as one of the greatest comic book movies of our time.
